Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Dillon Shephard said they are disappointed for letting their fans down after a damaging 1-0 defeat to Matsatsantsa at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

The former Bidvest Wits star was honest in his assessment of Chiefs' performance against SuperSport United, who are no guaranteed a place in African football next season alongside Orlando Pirates.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Sheppard Rates Chiefs, Explains Zwane's Absence" story:
"Its better to be quiet like you were before Mr. Sheppard. You can't use small boys while we have seasoned campaigners there.
"Mathoho, Ngcobo, Dube and Cole should have guided those small boys well, rather than putting them under pressure..." says kinglovistochaka780.
"They gave him an eye opener so he can see in a different way... Mangethe football," says zambroty.
"Zwane is doing a good job, Kaizer Jr. must give Zwane a 5-year contract. We need to develop our local coach... Players are the ones to blame, they miss firing each and every game, and concede every game... this is not make sure," says user454193.
"Chiefs supporters need anger management courses," says @ThizaK.

Following Chiefs' defeat, Arthur Zwane had to be escorted down the tunnel by club officials and police as angry supporters threw projectiles at him.
Zwane walked away with an eye injury from the incident and the club's spokesperson Vina Maphosa provided an update on Radio 2000, saying Zwane's eye injury came from the shield of the police officers who were trying to protect him, not the objects thrown by fans.
The spokesperson confirmed that Zwane is recovering well from the eye injury and should be back on the touchline for their final game of the season against Cape Town City.

"Trying to protect the Chiefs hooligans, even a blind man could see the supporters throwing all sorts of missiles at Arthur Zwane.
"Even if a supporter beat him while the game is on, we would be told that he is a police officer in plain clothes, hahaha, Khosi lama Khosi, Khosi 4 life, 10 years without a trophy," says oupa.phiri27.
"I randomly said 'unless the police officers are also Chiefs fans' because I failed to understand why did they force their way to the tunnel after they identified a threat," says Shikabala.
"Those police officers are Chiefs supporters," says Mpho P.
"Why are you trying to protect those hooligans that were throwing brown breads and hunters gold bottles at Zwane, wearing Kaizer Chiefs clothes... Please stop lying by telling us they were wearing plain clothes," says Slowpoison.
