Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Dillon Sheppard says they are disappointed for letting their fans down who came out in numbers at Royal Bafokeng Stadium after a damaging 1-0 to SuperSport United on Saturday.
Chiefs' chances of competing for a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup going into the last game of the season were ended after a 1-0 loss to SuperSport.

Amakhosi struggled to get going in the first stanza where they conceded a sloppy goal after goalkeeper Brandon Petersen dropped a cross that was lobbed home by Gamphani Lungu.
The Glamour Boys only started to have some energy in the latter stages of the second stanza and Sheppard admitted their performance was "not good enough".
"Disappointing when you see our position on the log and SuperSport. We needed the three points to put ourselves in a good position to compete for third place," Sheppard said in a press conference.
"But ja, you can't rely on energy (only) in the second-half. Created half chances here and there but performance wise not good enough from us," he said.
Sheppard was asked whether their Nedbank Cup semi-final where they lost in extra-time against rivals Orlando Pirates took a lot out of them?
"I think we're professional enough, we knew the position, especially out of the cup, now we had an opportunity in the league to compete for an African place," he responded.
"You wanna come with energy, we knew what we had to do, like I said, we created a couple of chances but not near enough to hurt SuperSport."
The former Bidvest Wits winger also weighed on disappointing their supporters, who came out in numbers and said they now have to look at the positives instead of focusing on the negatives.
"It's very difficult, you put in the work and of course you want it to show in performances…they come out in numbers and they are not happy with what they saw," he went on.
"It's only us who can make it right. We have to be positive in times like these. It's easy to look at the negatives but we have to draw energy from the positives. There's still fourth place to play for, we've got to look forward to that."

Sheppard also confirmed that head coach Arthur Zwane could not attend the press conference because of an injury he picked up on his eye.
Zwane had to be escorted by police after fans threw objects at him on his way down the tunnel.
"Unfortunately he picked up a bit of an injury to his eye," Sheppard explained.
"I don't know what happened, the incident but I just saw him putting some ice on his eye," he said.
