North African giants MC Alger and Esperance were both found guilty and ordered to pay big fines by the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) Disciplinary Board.
The disciplinary committee met on Thursday and deliberated on a few issues that took place during the quarter-final round of the Champions League.

MC Alger were dumped out of the competition by Orlando Pirates last week, but there were some ugly scenes after the game after officials and players clash on the pitch.
Having already been found guilty breaching CAF violations in 2024, Alger's next two games in a CAF competition will be played behind closed doors.
Alger assistant coach Mohamed Khezrouni has been handed a four-game ban for for violating articles 82 and 123 of the CAF Disciplinary Code while Alger defender Abdelkader Oussama Menezla was given a two-game ban, one of which is suspended.
The club have also been fined $100 000 (R1.8million) for the inappropriate behaviour of its players and officials.
Meanwhile, Esperance were also sanctioned for the inappropriate behaviour of its supporters during the first leg of the quarter-final against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld on 1 April.
The Tunisians were found guilty and have been fined $100 000 (R2.8million) as a result.
