Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars are looking to bolster their squad in a bid for promotion by enlisting the services of a former Orlando Pirates striker who is currently training with the team in Pretoria.
Insiders close to Casric Stars and the player have indicated that Ndumiso Mabena, a seasoned striker, is training with the Mpumalanga-based team, with an opportunity of him eventually being signed.

The sources added that the club has pinpointed their striking department as a position to improve this season and believes that the 37-year-old Mabena could be a vital addition to their promotion campaign.
"He has been training with the team for about a week now and the technical team is happy with the energy he is giving at training and it's rubbing off onto the youngsters in the team. The coach believes they have found a striker who will add value to the team as they fight for promotion to the Betway Premiership next season. As for Mabena, it is as good as a done deal for now," the Siya source stated.
A second insider mentioned that the club is also considering additional signings before the registration window closes next week.
"It's not only him. There are other young players like a midfielder and a defender but the main one is him, Ndumiso Mabena. But the team is looking at strengthening the whole squad, as you know, it's tough in the first division and they have to have a balanced squad to compete," the second insider stated.
