The beginning of the latest off-season proved a tense time at the Parc des Princes as the 24-year-old confirmed his intention to not extend with his hometown club beyond his existing contract.
With one year left on his current deal, the decision did not go down well with the French champions and after excluding him from their pre-season tour of Asia, they actively looked to sell him.
In recent weeks, however, the relationship between them has seemingly been on the mend, with the five-time Ligue 1 Golden Boot winner being reintegrated into the squad.
Rumours of a potential three-year extension have also been mooted, but while he may have been reluctant to speak about the Frenchman potentially staying at the club long-term, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has now stated that the club is prepared for life without the Bondy native if he decides against signing a new deal.
"We have another 24 hours. Kylian is a PSG player," he told RMC Sport.
"We have very good discussions with him, he is a magnificent player, as a person and as a professional. We discussed with the rest of his family. We're going to work, try to do something.
"If we can, why not? If not, we're ready, we're fine.
"An extension? I don't want to talk about that."
