The 30-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from the Red Devils ahead of the expiration of his deal next year.
While there are conflicting reports regarding his relationship with manager Marcel Koller, ex-Ahly midfielder Ramadan El Sayed, speaking about possible exits at the club, has said he feels Tau's game has worsened.
"Al Ahly will not be affected by Ahmed Abdelkader's departure, and even if Percy Tau leaves, I think a distinguished winger will be added," he said, according to Al Masry Al Youm.
"Abdelkader was absent from matches a lot, and he was not very influential in the current season
"I feel that Percy Tau wants to leave Al Ahly, and his level has clearly declined recently."
