With Percy Tau being of interest to Wydad Athletic Club, the Moroccan giants have reportedly come to a decision regarding possibly reuniting him with his former head coach Rulani Mokwena.

It has been rumoured that Wydad's new head coach is a massive admirer of the reigning CAF Interclub Men's Player of the Year, with it understood that Mokwena tried to sign the Witbank native while he was still at Mamelodi Sundowns.
Both their circumstances have since changed, with Tau no longer holding the same prominence within Marcel Koller's side, and the South African tactician now being the head coach of the record Botola Pro Inwi champions.
Earlier this week, one of Wydad's board members revealed that the club was keen on luring the 30-year-old attacker to Casablanca, but now, according to Le Site Info Sport, the north African juggernauts have decided to end their pursuit in Tau.
It is believed the reason for this is his hefty wages and the transfer fee Al Ahly want for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations bronze medallist.
Tau is now in the final year of his current deal at the Cairo International Stadium, and with the same report claiming that the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Zamalek are also eager to possibly land the Bafana Bafana star's signature, it looks as though Wydad are no longer in contention.

It is also claimed that Mokwena will now turn his attention to trying to sign either Young Africans' Stephane Aziz Ki or Clement Mzize.
