Swiss coach Marcel Koller was appointed by the Red Devils in 2022 and has already collected seven trophies in Egypt.
Over the course of the next week and a half, the 63-year-old will have an opportunity to claim an eighth piece of silverware when Al Ahly take on Esperance in a two-legged Champions League final.
The Egyptian giants are hoping to retain their crown, after lifting the trophy in 2023, a feat that would see Koller equal Mosimane's two African titles at the club.
Mosimane spent two years in charge of the Club of the Century and celebrated consecutive Champions League triumphs in 2020 and 2021.
Al Ahly have won a record 12 Champions League titles in their history, with legendary Portuguese boss Manuel Jose the only coach to have lifted the trophy more than twice with the north Africans.
The 78-year-old, over two spells, won the Champions League with Al Ahly on four occasions.
