A report claims Al Ahly are refusing a certain contract demand Percy Tau has made during discussions over his potential renewal at the club.

With the South Africa international's deal believed to be expiring next year, it appears negotiations between the forward and the Red Devils are at a standstill.
According to ngmalgmahir, who cite private sources, the club is unwilling to increase Tau's salary, and want him to sign a new contract with the same compensation he is currently on.
The 30-year-old, however, is reportedly insisting on an increase in his pay in Egypt, where he has been enjoying his football since 2021.
The report also claims all options remain open from the club's side, with Ahly not ruling out a departure for the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker.
Tau has made 104 appearances for the Red Devils since his arrival in north Africa in 2021, contributing to an impressive 38 goals across all competitions.
In the process, the Bafana Bafana star has collected eight pieces of silverware in Egypt, and will have an opportunity to claim a ninth in the form of the CAF Champions League trophy over the next two weekends.

Al Ahly are set to take on Esperance de Tunis in a two-legged CAFCL final, with the first leg to be played this Saturday and the second next Saturday.
