The story
Retired New Zealander, Jeremy Brockie caught up with his former teammate at SuperSport United (SSU), Michael Morton, to look back at what he regards as the best goal he's ever scored.
The ex-Matsatsantsa star, who also plied his trade at Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United during his spell in the PSL, bagged 97 career goals with 54 of them scored for the aforementioned South African football teams.
The journeyman contributed 27 goals and another 11 assists in his 81 matches for The Spartans and proudly looked back at one of his finest volley's in a SSU shirt.
"That one that I scored against Pirates. DVD [David Mathebula] put that beautiful ball in and looking back at it, it brought back so many memories. It came off the foot so nicely and to do it against a big team in what I think was pretty early days in my South African career and I think that made a few people stand up and say 'Yeah this guy is alright'" said Brockie.
