SSU Plan For The Future

SuperSport United have acted quickly in tying down the club's promising young talent, on long-term deals.

An insider has revealed to the Siya crew that by the securing the players on new deals, the club is keen on the duo possibly making a move abroad in the future.

"Yes these two youngsters have signed extensions to their contracts. They will be at the team until 2028 until maybe a move to Europe comes around they could be allowed to leave. But locally, I don't think so. This is really good for both the club and the players," the source said.

Asked about the youngsters' new long-term contracts, CEO Stan Matthews confirmed that the club has tied down the players for a few more years.

"They are tied up for the next four years and some of them for five years. The young ones Rapoo, Johannes, Maseko and Luke Fleurs have signed extensions. So for us we are locking in the young talents. In Rapoo, Johannes, Fleurs and Maseko, for sure, we have four Bafana players 100% and their time is still early. For us, the future looks good. Now, we have these guys wrapped up for a few more years. That's good for us," Matthews observed.
