Kaizer Chiefs' expected acquisition of AS FAR Rabat head coach Nasreddine Nabi is proving to be a masterstroke after facing intense competition from the Middle East for the manager's signature.
The 58-year-old will join the Soweto Giants in the coming days with the club's pre-season set to start imminently.

Amakhosi are expected to announce Nabi as their new head coach soon.
As part of his technical team, the following members should also be confirmed in the coming days: Fernando Da Cruz, Youssef Ilyas Mizugi, Khalil Ben Youssef, among others, who will take up their first team duties at Chiefs.
The Siya Crew has been informed that prior to Chiefs securing the Tunisian's signature, there was a host of clubs interested in the manager.
A source close to the coach has since indicated who these other teams were.

"Al Arabi Sports Club from Saudi Arabia were one team who were seriously interested," said the Siya source.
"There were two teams from the UAE as well that wanted Nabi but he chose Kaizer Chiefs."
Reports had also suggested that Nabi was being pursued by the Tunisian Football Federation, who were looking to replace Jalel Kadri but then Faouzi Benzarti was announced as their new national team coach recently.
In a recent interview, Nabi had also mentioned that he received other offers from clubs including the Soweto Giants.
"The South African offer was not the only one, but rather I received several offers. But I will have a meeting with the team (Rabat) president (Mohamed Haramou) to talk about this issue," Nabi said, according to Goal.com.
