With Wydad Casablanca coach Rulani Mokwena interested in reuniting with his former player Percy Tau, who is currently at Al Ahly in Egypt, there has been a lot of talk in South Africa about the Bafana Bafana star's future.
Despite interest from Premier Soccer League (PSL) teams like Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns too, former Brazilians legend and Tau's mentor, Lebogang "Cheeseboy" Mokoena, believes the best move for the South African forward would be to join Wydad and reunite with Mokwena.

In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Cheeseboy emphasized that Tau's first priority should be to stay at Al Ahly. However, if that doesn't work out, he should consider moving to Wydad rather than returning to the PSL.
"If he is not staying at Al Ahly then joining Wydad could be the best choice and a priority. Coach Rulani knows him very well and they could work well together. His experience would be vital to Wydad and his presence would also be good for coach Rulani. If Wydad can afford him then they should go for him. That would be a great move," Cheeseboy told the Siya crew.
The former Orlando Pirates winger added that returning to South Africa could pose financial challenges, as Tau is now a highly paid player not only in South Africa but globally.

"Locally it would be a challenge. It would be a financial challenge. Who could afford him now? Chiefs have spent a lot on the technical team. And I don't think they would want to spend more money on just one player. As for Sundowns, do they need him at this point? I doubt. So Wydad is the best option as things stand now both for him and for coach Rulani. He is my boy, I know him. He would do very well under coach Rulani," Cheeseboy concluded.
As the transfer window progresses, Tau's future remains a topic of significant interest. With strong endorsements from his mentor, Mokoena, and the potential for a reunion with Mokwena at Wydad Athletic, Tau's next move could be pivotal for his career.
Whether he stays at Al Ahly, moves to Wydad, or considers other options, the decision will undoubtedly impact his trajectory and the teams vying for his talent. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see where the Bafana attacker lands next.
