After seemingly already clicking with Steve Komphela, Kermit Erasmus has given insight on the personality of new Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso.
There were more questions than answers on the lips of football fans when Cardoso was announced as the new head coach, to replace Manqoba Mngqithi.

There is no question that Sundowns players related deeply with former coach Rulani Mokwena, as most of them were reduced to tears, following a shock decision by the club to part ways with the Soweto native coach in the winter.
The Portuguese coach is slowly winning the hearts of Masandawana supporters, following his bromance with Komphela on the touchline.
Cardoso, according to Erasmus, appears to be a player-coach at heart, judging by his personal touch in relation to his charges.
"Portuguese coaches are always passionate about football. I mean you see he's animated on the bench the whole time, he loves the game, I'm sure he expresses that to the players," Erasmus said on SoccerBeat YouTube Channel.
"Even when (Sphelele) Mkhulise came on, he literally put his arms around him, to try and give him information and that's something you don't really see much.
"To give players that comfort that you believe in them and he wants x, y, z for that five minutes, it's something you give with everything you've got when you get into the field," the former Sundowns striker added.

The former Esperance de Tunis coach has also boosted the morale in the squad by giving players who were not playing regularly under Mngqithi, such as Rushine De Reuck, Kobamelo Kodisang, Divine Lunga and Neo Maema an opportunity.
The 52-year-coach could be on course to unlock the full potential of Sundowns squad, with players such as Thembinkosi Lorch and the injured Themba Zwane, Rivaldo Coetzee, Tashreeq Matthews and Siyabonga Mabena, among others yet to be integrated.
