The arrival of Miguel Cardoso at Mamelodi Sundowns appears to have opened the door for a few players to get more minutes on the pitch.
Cardoso took charge of his second match as Sundowns coach last night, beating Stellenbosch FC 1-0 in the Betway Premiership to make it two out of two victories since taking over from Manqoba Mngqithi.
Just two games into his tenure, there are a few players who could benefit and start getting more game time. Defender Rushine de Reuck, who was an unused substitute against Raja Casablanca last weekend, got his first league start of season last night and played an important role as the reigning champions kept a clean sheet.

With Grant Kekana and Mothobi currently unavailable for selection, De Reuck has an opportunity to impress Cardoso and cement his place in the team.
De Reuck's contract is expected to expire at the end of the season and he will be looking to use the opportunity to impress management, having recently been linked with a move away. SuperSport United are believed to be monitoring him, but things could change if he continues to make the matchday squad.
Neo Maema is another who could get to feature more. The former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder started against Raja last weekend and got an opportunity to come on against Stellies when Marcelo Allende sustained an injury.

Pre-season signing Kobamelo Kodisang got his first league start of the season and showed glimpses of brilliance that could see him getting more opportunities.
There are a few other players who could get opportunities to impress as Cardoso gets to know his squad.
