Orlando Pirates were crowned MTN 8 champions for the third consecutive year, coming from behind to secure a 3-1 victory over Stellenbosch at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
Right-back Thabiso Monyane played the full 90 in a enthralling clash that saw Lehlohonolo Bradley Mojela opening the scoring in stunning fashion, with Monnapule Saleng equalising and super subs, Tshegofatso Mabasa and Relebohile Mofokeng sealing a historic triumph for the Soweto giants.
It's Monyane's fifth cup with as a Buccaneer and the 24-year-old posted two videos to flex his MTN8 and Nedbank Cup medals that he's won since Jose Riveiro's arrival in 2022.
