The story
Springbok rugby star and captain Siya Kolisi ended his European tour with the Sharks on a high last week by watching English giants Chelsea and his beloved Liverpool live in action.
Partnered by his club and national teammate Ox Nche, Kolisi headed was seem at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea's 3-1 win over Wolves in the English Premier League.
The duo also headed to Anfield to watch Arne Slot's troops overcome Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille, 2-1 in the UEFA Champions League. After the fixture, Kolisi took a snap with Dutch star, Virgil van Dijk.
Kolisi is no stranger to most of the Liverpool players, having formed a strong bond with their former coach Jurgen Klopp and ex-captain Jordan Henderson.
The rugby superstar shared his pic with van Dijk on Instagram, lavishing the formidable centre back with praise and congratulating him on his milestone appearance for Liverpool.
"@virgilvandijk my bro and our captain, thank you so much for making our visit to Anfield special and unforgettable. Honestly inspired by your leadership on and off the pitch," wrote Kolisi.
"You are a remarkable ambassador for @liverpool and for the sport as a whole," he added, sharing a gallery of images of him and Ox at Liverpool's fortress.
