Real Madrid Linked With Shock Liverpool Star
The legendary Italian tactician spent 18 months in charge of Everton in England between 2019 and 2021, a time in which he was a rival manager to the German on Merseyside.
Ancelotti, however, has explained that his relationship with Klopp has always been one of mutual respect, and revealed that the former Borussia Dortmund head coach would even give him presents.
"We have a good relationship, we spent a year-and-a-half together here in Liverpool during the pandemic," he told Sky Sports Italia.
"We texted and he gave me gifts, it's true. He's a very lovable person."
Asked to reveal what it was that Klopp gave him, Ancelotti replied: "An e-cigarette."
The Italian and his managerial counterpart met in last season's UEFA Champions League final, with Vinicius Junior's solitary strike handing Los Blancos a 1-0 win at the Stade de France.
