New arrival Endrick, an 18-year-old Brazil international, was named in Ancelotti's starting XI to take on AC Milan in a pre-season friendly in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The striker was signed from Palmeiras in a deal worth €47.5 million (R933.2 million), and has penned a five-year contract in the Spanish capital.
The teenager, wearing the No. 16 jersey, played 45 minutes before the manager made a host of changes for the second half, but he seemed to do enough to impress the 65-year-old.

"It's rare to see a player with these types of characteristics."
A goal from Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze in the 56th minute to secure a 1-0 victory for Milan over Los Blancos, just days after the Serie A giants recorded a 3-2 win over Manchester City.
