The Brazil international reunited with his ex-Barcelona teammate in France last year, after a five-year separation from the Argentina captain following his 2017 switch to Paris Saint-Germain from the Catalan giants.
In Spain, Neymar and Messi formed an incredible relationship, along with Luis Suarez, on the field that resulted in Barca becoming treble winners at the end of the 2014/15 season, with the trio often recalled as one of the greatest the sport has seen.
Speaking recently about his early days at the Blaugrana, the 30-year-old Selecao man stated that his South American colleague is the best footballer he has ever seen play.
"Playing alongside Leo was a unique experience and we became friends," he told DAZN.
"Of those I've seen play, Messi is the best in history."
This season, Neymar and Messi have begun the campaign in a rich vein of form, with the pair having already contributed to 28 goals between them in just 18 matches.
