Goals have been in short supply for the Red Devils in the Premier League so far this season, with Marcus Rashford having scored just once in the competition and Rasmus Hojlund having still not found the back of the net in the league from seven attempts.
Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho are also not off the mark in the EPL this season, although the latter has been suspended from first-team duties since his public fallout with 53-year-old Ten Hag.
Due to United's issues with troubling opposition goalkeepers, TEAMtalk reports that the Dutchman and his recruitment staff are looking at four potential options for when the window reopens at the turn of the year.
The publication claims that FC Porto's Mehdi Taremi, who has been linked with the club in the past, is considered a target, with his deal in Portugal expiring at the end of the current campaign.
It is said the Red Devils are also looking at AS Monaco's 33-year-old striker Wissam Ben Yedder and Flamengo forward Gabriel Barbosa, a 27-year-old frontman who, like Taremi, is also being pursued by teams in Saudi Arabia.
Fourth on the list is 20-year-old Santos attacker Marcos Leonardo, who is believed to be a wildcard option given Ten Hag's reported preference to add experience to his side to help 20-year-old Hojlund, whose three goals this season have come in the UEFA Champions League.
Bruno Fernandes was the man of the moment on Saturday when he scored in the final minutes of United's trip to Fulham to secure a 1-0 win for struggling English giants.
