According to Foot Mercato, Lucas Hernandez has decided to end his four-year tenure with the Bavarians and sign with his native PSG.
The 27-year-old looked on course to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena until 2027, but has now seemingly had his head turned by Les Parisiens and their project for the future.
The defender is said to have been impressed by the club's presentation to him and is now eager to join the record Ligue 1 champions.
The ex-Atletico Madrid man only recently returned to first-team training after sustaining an ACL injury at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but will unfortunately be unable to participate against Koln in Die Roten's final Bundesliga game of the season this weekend.
Bayern's 2-0 win over Schalke in November may thus have been the Marseille-born man's final game in the German outfit's jersey as he and Inter Milan's Milan Skriniar are now expected to make their way to the Parc des Prince as the Ligue 1 table-toppers look to finally capture the elusive UEFA Champions League title.
With Hernandez approaching the final year of his contract, he has all the leverage in this situation, leaving Bayern on the brink of potentially losing out on an €80 million (R1.6 billion) investment.

Despite being a native of France and a Les Bleus regular, the three-time German champion has never played professional football in the country, but that is now likely that will no longer be the case when the 2023/24 season commences.
