Sadio Mane suffered a big injury scare in Bayern Munich's Bundesliga clash on Tuesday night, leading to concerns over his fitness ahead of Senegal's 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign.

The former Liverpool player had to be replaced in the first half of Bayern's 6-1 win over Werder Bremen, after he was unable to continue due to picking up a knock on his leg.
Speaking after the game, assistant coach Dino Toppmoeller squashed concerns that Mane's injury would leave him doubtful for the World Cup.
"Sadio Mane was hit on the leg, which caused him a little nerve pain," he told reporters after the game.
"Nothing too serious and his participation in the World Cup should not be in jeopardy."
First-team manager Julian Nagelsmann, however, stated that Mane would undergo scans to assess the seriousness of his injury but did not appear too worried about his player's World Cup chances.
The 30-year-old will carry the weight of Senegal's hopes on his shoulders in Qatar this month after the two-time African Footballer of the Year led his country to Africa Cup of Nations triumph last year.
