The Merseyside team was crowned champions after thumping Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at Anfield.

The win moved Liverpool level with long-time rivals Manchester United on 20 English league titles.

The Dutchman became the 12th manager to win the Premier League and in doing so, he joined an exclusive list of managers that does not include the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, and Pep Guardiola.

Here is a list of the five managers to win the Premier League title in their debut season, according to Sports Illustrated.

1. Jose Mourinho (2004/05)

The 'Special One' was the first manager to win the Premier League in his first year in charge of Chelsea. It was a record-breaking campaign as Chelsea registered a then-record 95 points and conceded just 15 goals during the league season, a record that still stands.

2. Carlo Ancelotti (2009/10)

The Italian became the second Chelsea manager to join the list, and he did so in style. He secured the title with a convincing 8-0 win against Wigan Athletic, scoring a then-record 103 goals during the season.

3. Manuel Pellegrini (2013/14)

The former Real Madrid and West Ham manager won the 2013/14 season, scoring 102 goals and pipping Liverpool to the title by just two points.

4. Antonio Conte (2016/17)

The ex-Juventus boss is the third Chelsea boss to join the club and the Italian made history when he became the first manager to win 30 games in a Premier League season.

5. Arne Slot (2024/25)

The Dutchman won the Premier League at the first time of asking, spearheaded by an impressive season from Mohamed Salah as Liverpool won the league with four games left of the season.
