The Tanzanian side advanced to the CAFCC final after beating Betway Premiership side Stellenbosch FC 1-0 on aggregate to set up a final with RSB Berkane, who beat CS Constantine 4-1 over two legs.
For Davids, it marks an opportunity to avenge a loss in the 2022 CAF Confederation Cup final when Berkane overcame Davids' Orlando Pirates in a penalty shoot-out.
According to SABC Sport, the former Maritzburg United captain said the result still haunts him.
"That match still haunts me, we beat Simba in the quarter-finals, we beat Al Ahly, then we got Berkane, and we lost on penalties," the South African coach said.
"So, Berkane is an improved side, we played against this coach last season we know him quite well,” he added.
The ex-Maritzburg coach made history when he led Simba to the CAFCC final, the first continental final in the team's history and, while Davids celebrated the achievement, he was more focused on trying to win the competition.

"We have to cut the celebrations a little bit short because you don’t really wanna be celebrating getting into the final, I must try to win the trophy, then we can celebrate," Davids said.
