Following his Man of the Match performance in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night, Senegal star Sadio Mane has evaluated his and Bayern Munich's return to form in recent matches.
Report: Ten Hag Makes 'Contract Demands' To Man Utd Owners
It seems the international break gave the Bavarian giants some much-needed respite, with the reigning Bundesliga champions having returned with a bang.
After a four-game winless run in the league, the German outfit has now scored nine unanswered goals in the two games they have played since returning to club action.
Coincidentally, Bayern's new-found form has overlapped with Mane seemingly playing his best football once again.
The 2022 CAF Men's Player of the Year first scored against Bayer Leverkusen on the weekend, and on Tuesday night, scored and assisted against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League.
His display against the Czech opposition at the Allianz Arena earned him the Man of the Match honour, and after the tie, the ex-Liverpool forward gave his verdict on his club's return to form.
"The team played a great game, we created a lot of chances. We deserved to win," the two-time African Player of the Year said, as per SB Nation.
"The past few weeks were difficult. It was important to show a reaction. We reacted well after the international break.
"Hopefully we will continue like this until the end of the season."
Messi's Camp 'Deny' Barcelona Agreement
Earlier this week, Mane spoke on the difficulties of adapting to life in Germany after spending the past eight years in England, but with manager Julian Nagelsmann positioning the attacker in his preferred left-wing position of late, it seems he could be back to his prolific best in no time.
