It has been all but confirmed that a France international being tracked by some of the biggest clubs in the world will leave his current side for free.
Official: PSG Confirm Neymar News
Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram has enjoyed fantastic form in recent seasons, form that earned him a call-up to France's 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.
Although he is yet to score on the international stage, the 25-year-old has managed to find the back of the net on 14 occasions in the 2022/23 campaign so far, and has also assisted a further four strikes.
Clubs in England, including Manchester United and Chelsea, have been monitoring the player's situation in the Bundesliga, while Inter Milan have also reportedly expressed an interest in the striker.
Now, Gladbach sporting director Roland Virkus has suggested that the son of legendary French footballer Lillian Thuram is likely to move on at the end of the season when his contract expires.
"With Marcus Thuram, we stretched," he told Sport1.
"We have to accept that it's the even bigger clubs where Marcus might go.
"The fact that players will leave us for free is not a positive situation and I can't sugarcoat it."
