The Algerian side were beaten 1-0 on aggregate by the Soweto giants and following the disappointing result, Redjem announced he would step down as club president, almasryalroum reported.
"The environment is not suitable," Redjem said, according to Almasryalroum.
The outgoing president added that the club has a culture of resignation when goals are not achieved and said the team was heading down the right path.
Redjem said it was time for him to step away from the club as he felt he has done all he could do.
"I did what I could, now there must be new people on the board of directors."
Algerian publication Algerie 360 reported that Redjem is stepping down with a clear conscience following his time at the club.
