Kaizer Chiefs' outcome in the Nedbank Cup could decide the fate of head coach Nasreddine Nabi, according to legend Tsepo Masilela.
Chiefs' inconsistency and struggle in the league has brought back fears that they could end up out of the top eight again.
Nabi was expected to revive Amakhosi and at least drive them to a respectable position, however, the Glamour Boys find themselves sitting in eighth position on the standings, with only three points separating them and teams up to 11th spot, with eight games remaining.
Nabi could be fighting to save his job in the Nedbank Cup, with a semi-final clash against Mamelodi Sundowns looming next weekend.

That is according to Masilela, who believes Chiefs should act and pounce on Pitso Mosimane, should the Tunisian finish out of the top eight and not win a trophy.
"It's a result driven business, if you're doing bad, you're thinking if we finish outside the top eight, with no trophy, what do we do? As management you have to make decisions. It is in their minds (whether Nabi should continue)," Masilela said on SoccerBeat YouTube Channel.
"You have coaches like Pitso who are available and you're thinking, if it happens they get rid of Nabi, maybe we should go all in for coach Pitso because he's someone who has a proven track record. We know what he has done, he knows the local game and has done wonders.
"There could be clauses that we don't know, that if you don't reach top eight... I think they should see out the season, sit down, reflect and make big decisions, because big decisions have to be made," Masilela added.

Mosimane appears to be in the market for a job, after he was reportedly considered and interviewed by the Libya national team, alongside the likes of Carlos Queiroz but the Mediterranean Knights eventually settled for Aliou Cisse last month.
