There seems to be a lot of ambiguity surrounding the Green Eagles' managerial situation. Not long after their first encounter against Masandawana in Africa's premier club competition, the Moroccan champions decided to part ways with Ricardo Sa Pinto.
Since then, plenty of managers have been linked with Raja's hot seat, the most prominent being Miguel Gamondi.
The Argentine's appointment seems unlikely at this point after it was alleged that the two parties failed to reach an agreement. While the North African giants have been searching for a new manager, the club have had an interim boss temporarily take the reins.
Hafid Abdessadek has been Raja's caretaker manager for the last three league outings, but it appears he could not be in the dugout for their upcoming Champions League encounter against Sundowns.
According to Kooora, this is because Abdessadek reportedly does not have the necessary coaching licences to take charge of a team in the continental competition.
Consequently, the Moroccan tactician will have to lead his charges from the stands, as the three-time African champions aim to keep their knockout stage qualification hopes alive with a victory over Miguel Cardoso's charges.

Raja are currently at the bottom of Group B, having not won a single game on the continent this season. However, they will be hoping to secure their first victory against the South African champions.
