Tanzanian football club Simba SC's head coach, Fadlu Davids, has been linked with a move to Moroccan side AS FAR Rabat following the dismissal of French coach Hubert Velud.
However, his agent, Rasthoem Simons, has dismissed these reports as mere speculation.
Davids, who took over as Simba's head coach in July 2024, has been instrumental in the team's recent success, notably guiding them to the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

As Simba await the quarter-final draw, set to take place on Thursday, 20 February 2025, in Doha, Qatar, the South African tactician remains focused on his current role.
The Cape Town-born coach has a growing reputation in African football, having previously served as an assistant coach at Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.
Under the guidance of Jozef Zinnbauer, he played a crucial role in Raja's unbeaten league-winning campaign before moving to Simba on a two-year contract.
His impact has been significant, as Simba, a 22-time Tanzanian Premier League champion, continues to compete at the highest level domestically and continentally.
Despite the rumours linking him with AS FAR Rabat, Davids' immediate priority remains Simba's title challenge and their pursuit of continental glory.
His team has a crucial league fixture against Tanzania Prisons this afternoon, where a victory could see them overtake rivals Young Africans at the top of the table.
While speculation surrounding his future persists, it is clear that Davids is highly regarded across African football circles.
Whether he stays at Simba or moves to a new challenge, his track record suggests he will remain a key figure in the continent's coaching landscape.

"No, that was just speculation. Obviously, when a coach is doing well on the continent and when there are big clubs that are looking, they will look at the coaches that are doing well. And obviously, coach Fadlu is equipped and is doing well. We haven't had any contact with the club, and as you might know by now that they have appointed another coach, so it was just speculation. The coach is focused on the job at hand as he has the quarter-finals of the Confed Cup to prepare for, and there is an opportunity to go back to the top of the log today. So, we will not be making any comment after now from the coach or myself with regards to the situation as we do not want to entertain any speculation when it is not necessary," said Simons, speaking exclusively to the Siya crew.
Meanwhile, AS Rabat have since appointed Portuguese mentor Alexandre Santos, who was previously linked with Kaizer Chiefs, as their new head coach.
