Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have joined Orlando Pirates in showing interest in Hungry Lions striker Muzomuhle Khanyi, the leading goalscorer in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Khanyi continued his red-hot form over the weekend, netting his 17th goal of the season in Lions' 2-0 victory over Leruma United at the Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium on Saturday.

His impressive performances have attracted attention from top flight clubs, with both Chiefs and Pirates now closely monitoring his situation.
Pirates have been keeping tabs on Khanyi since the first half of the season, hoping to secure his signature before other clubs enter the race.
However, sources indicate that Chiefs have now made enquiries regarding his availability, potentially setting up a fierce transfer battle between the two Soweto giants.
With Amakhosi struggling in front of goal this season, adding a prolific striker like Khanyi could provide a much-needed boost to their attack.
Meanwhile, Pirates, who have been tracking him for months, will likely push hard to bring him on board before Chiefs make their move.
Lions are expected to hold firm on their star player's valuation, but with both PSL heavyweights circling, Khanyi's future could be decided before the season concludes.
As the transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen which club will win the race for the 24-year-old goal machine.

One thing is certain – Khanyi's performances have made him one of the most sought-after talents in South African football.
"Enquiries have been made from Chiefs about Khanyi and it looks like the player will definitely be leaving Hungry Lions at the end of the season. This is the player who has been on the radar of Pirates for some time and Chiefs are now also showing interest," said the source.
