Things have progressed quickly for the 31-year-old in the past week. It was alleged that over the weekend, both Lorch and Mamelodi Sundowns came to an agreement that he could leave. The skilful attacker joined Masandawana a year ago as an alleged top-priority signing for Rulani Mokwena.
Upon arriving at Chloorkop, the eight-capped international was given ample game time by his manager. However, since his departure to the North African giants, the ex-Orlando Pirates man has had very little game time under Manqoba Mngqithi and Miguel Cardoso.
The situation has now paved the way for Lorch to move away from Sundowns, and while it seemed that teams such as Kaizer Chiefs were interested, it is the Red Castle who are on the verge of signing him.
Earlier this week, Soccer Laduma stated that the Bloemfontein native was poised to jet off to Morocco in the coming days. That will be important because, according to Le 360 Sports, the record Botola Pro Inwi champions have set a Friday deadline to get the deal done.
The Moroccan transfer window closes on 31 January, and in an effort to register him for the remainder of the league season, the club have imposed a strict deadline to ensure he is eligible as soon as their next game.

This will be the third time Mokwena coaches Lorch, with the duo initially working together at Orlando Stadium before reuniting at Sundowns in 2024. Now he will be the latest South African to enter in Wydad camp, with Cassius Mailula also signing at the start of the season.
