Marcus Rashford is expected to be leaving the club this month after recently announcing he would is ready to start a new challenge in his career.
As a result, Sky Germany have reported that United are turning their attention to Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani.
The France international has struggled for regular game time this season, having just 10 appearances under coach Luis Enrique this campaign.
Sky Germany report Florian Plettenberg has now reported that the Red Devils have stepped up their efforts to sign the French striker.

"The Red Devils are now determined to do everything possible to secure his transfer in the winter. Recently, there have been very specific talks with his management, and direct negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain are expected to follow," Plettenberg tweeted.
"#MUFC are considering a loan deal, ideally with an option to buy.
"Other clubs still in the race include Chelsea, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Juventus, AC Milan, and others."
