Since taking over in Casablanca, the South African tactician has struggled for consistency. The Red Castle are currently in fifth position on the Botola Pro Inwi log and are second in Group 5 in the Excellence Cup.
As a consequence of their erratic form, there have been rumours floated that the club's board of directors may look to appoint a Moroccan assistant coach to Mokwena's technical team in an effort to get the team fit and firing.
As things stand, the 37-year-old's technical staff is comprised of only South Africans. Former Cape Town All Stars coach Sinethemba Badela is his assistant coach, Sibusiso Mahlangu is his fitness coach, Allan Freese is his technical coach and Sibusiso Makitla is his performance manager.
A former Wydad captain, Brahim Nakach, has now availed his services to the former Mamelodi Sundowns boss, claiming that he is more than willing to be his assistant.
"I am now in charge of training the youth category, and Brahim Nakach or a national or Wydad coach is very keen to work with the Wydad team, which is the mother team and I always hope that the team will be at the top," the 42-year-old told Goud.
"For me, how we served with coach Mokwena or not, we are ready to give him any help and hope that he will succeed and return Wydad to the usual track on the team."
