Mamelodi Sundowns are a club known over the years for signing a significant number of players, and to loan many of them out.
The latest example is Argentinian Matias Esquivel, who has been loaned back to his club, Club Atletico. While many people are questioning why Sundowns would loan out one of their most expensive players, club legend Roger Feutmba believes there is nothing wrong with this strategy, whether it's Sundowns or any other club.

In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Feutmba explained that loaning out players can be beneficial for their development.
"It's not a bad thing to loan out a player if you want them to come back as an improved player. You can recall in the past Themba Zwane was loaned to Mpumalanga Black Aces, Denis Onyango to BidVest Wits and Tiyani Mabunda to Free State Stars. They all came back and won the CAF Champions League with the team. So, if Sundowns are loaning out Esquivel it is because they want him to have more game time and for different players to help the team. There is nothing wrong," Feutmba told the Siya crew.

Feutmba further explained that even big teams in Europe, like Manchester City, Liverpool, or PSG, loan their players out to gain experience.
"It's not just Sundowns who do that. Even teams like Orlando Pirates do that. Even teams in Europe do that. It helps improve your team by giving your players time to play more regularly and gain experience which will in turn help the team when they come back," Feutmba told Soccer Laduma.
