Ghanaian international goalkeeper Richard Ofori may have to look beyond Kaizer Chiefs in his search for a new club.
Following his departure from Orlando Pirates at the end of his contract in June, Ofori had Chiefs as one of the clubs he was linked with, and Amakhosi appear to be close to finalising their goalkeeping department.

With Chiefs expected to decide on veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune whose contract expired in June, Ofori had his name bandied about along with that of Edward Maova who has now signed for Golden Arrows. The Soweto giants are expected to have concluded a deal with Fiacre Ntwari from TS Galaxy.
Bruce Bvuma appeared to have made Chiefs' number one jersey his own last season, with Brandon Peterson deputising for him in some matches, as Chiefs looked to be preparing for life after Khune.

According to sources, Chiefs are unlikely to sign another experienced keeper, with the club also monitoring the progress of young Takalani Mazhamba who did exceptionally well during the recent Gauteng Engen Knockout Challenge which Amakhosi won.
Ofori, 30, kept an impressive 29 clean sheets in 58 matches for the Buccaneers since joining the club in 2020, before he lost his place to Sipho Chaine who is the team's current number one.
