According to Egyptian publication Al Masry Al Youm, a lifeline from Saudi Arabia has been offered to three Red Devils players struggling under current head coach Marcel Koller.
While the apparent interest in Tau from the Gulf country has been reported, it is suggested both Mahmoud Kahraba and Aliou Dieng have also received offers from teams in the SPL.
The report claims the trio are experiencing a period of "instability" under Swiss manager Koller.
In Kahraba's case, the striker has been on the verge of leaving the club due to "strong differences" with his coach over his importance in the side.
The 30-year-old striker has taken issue with Koller for not depending on him as the team's main forward, and has been unhappy at being used from the bench.
Dieng, meanwhile, is likely to depart due to his lack of involvement this term, and is also reportedly of interest to clubs in Saudi Arabia.
