On Monday, Premier League outfit Aston Villa announced the arrivals of Enzo Barrenechea and Samuel Iling-Junior from Juventus, adding to their acquisition of former Chelsea player Ian Maatsen, who spent last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund.

The 22-year-old left-back impressed during his temporary stay in Germany as BVB made it all the way to the UEFA Champions League final, which they lost 2-0 to 15-time European champions Real Madrid at Wembley Stadium last month.

The Villans, however, have confirmed the sales of midfielder Douglas Luiz, who has joined Italian giants Juventus in a deal worth €51.5 million (R1 billion), and talented teenager Omari Kellyman, who has completed a €22.5 million (R437.5 million) switch to Chelsea.

Here are 11 of the latest confirmed transfers across Europe's top five leagues:

Daichi Kamada – has joined Crystal Palace after leaving Lazio as a free agent
Enzo Barrenechea – has joined Aston Villa for €8m from Juventus
Ben Godfrey – has joined Atalanta for €9m from Everton
Samuel Iling-Junior – has joined Aston Villa for €14m from Juventus
Said Benrahma – has joined Olympique Lyon for €14.4m from West Ham United
Omari Kellyman – has joined Chelsea for €22.5m from Aston Villa
Yankuba Minteh – has joined Brighton Hove Albion for €38.8m from Newcastle United
Elliot Anderson – has joined Nottingham Forest for €41.2m from Newcastle United
Ian Maatsen – has joined Aston Villa for €44.5m from Chelsea
Douglas Luiz – has joined Juventus for €51.5m from Aston Villa
Ross Barkley
Ross Barkley – has joined Aston Villa for €5.9m from Luton Town

Staying in England, Newcastle United have sold Yankuba Minteh to Brighton Hove Albion, and Elliot Anderson to Nottingham Forest.

Altogether, the Magpies have brought in a significant €80 million (R1.5 billion) from those departures to help boost their financial situation.

Minteh, 19, leaves Tyneside without having made a single senior appearance, while Anderson bids farewell as he seeks to establish himself in the Premier League after featuring mainly from the bench last term.

Everton have sold defender Ben Godfrey to UEFA Europa League champions Atalanta, while Crystal Palace have signed Daichi Kamada as a free agent following his short spell at Lazio in Italy.
