With Karim Benzema's departure confirmed, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has spoken out about the club's rumoured interest in Harry Kane.

This past weekend, news broke that the reigning Ballon d'Or winner would be calling time on his illustrious 14-year career at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The announcement came at the end of a 2022/23 season in which the Lyon native was plagued by injuries and consequently could not help Real mount a serious challenge for both the LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League titles.
The record European champions are thus now in the market for a top-quality striker to replace their club legend, and one of the many names that have floated around is that of Kane.
Ancelotti was quizzed about Los Merengues' interest in England's all-time top goalscorer and gave a very ambiguous answer.
"I'm sure you all are curious to see what will happen next season," he told members of the media, as per 90min.
"I'm not going to talk about the future of the squad. Kane is a top player, but we have to respect Tottenham, he is a Tottenham player.
"I can guarantee to you that Real Madrid will have a competitive team again next season."

90min also claim that it is unlikely the 29-year-old marksman will leave England this off-season, but given Real's history of signing Tottenham Hotspurs' best players, it is believed there is a chance the Spanish juggernauts will be able to persuade the three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner to become a Madridista.
