According to Relevo, the Morocco star has decided he no longer wishes to play in the French capital, with the 24-year-old believed to be eager to return to the club where he started his professional career, Real Madrid.
Los Blancos, meanwhile, are rumoured to be interested in bolstering their right-back position, but while the record European champions would perhaps like to re-sign the Madrid-born defender, it may be an extremely complicated deal to orchestrate.
Les Parisiens signed the attacking fullback from Inter Milan for €68 million (R1.4 billion) at the beginning of last season, and are unlikely to let one of their major assets leave unless it is for a large sum of money.
Relations between Real and PSG have also been strained ever since the Spanish giants tried to sign Hakimi's good friend, Kylian Mbappe, last year, which presents another potential hurdle.
The same report claims that while Hakimi has enjoyed spurts of good form in a PSG jersey, he does not have the prominence in the squad he desires, seemingly prompting the Real Castilla alumni's wish to return to the club where he was able to lift the European Cup.
