Ronaldo 'Stuns' Al Nassr Teammates In Training

Ronaldo 'Stuns' Al Nassr Teammates In Training

Earlier this week, the world's highest-paid player Cristiano Ronaldo "astounded" his Al Nassr teammates as he awaits his debut for the Saudi Arabian giants.

Real 'Rejected' Ronaldo Return

Although he has been made to wait to make his first appearance for his new side, the 37-year-old has been hard at work as he prepares to get himself into top shape following the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ronaldo completed a free transfer to Al Nassr after leaving Manchester United by way of a mutual contract termination, an unceremonious end to a difficult second spell at the Red Devils, to whom he returned in 2021 after 12 years.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner appeared to not be in Erik ten Hag's first-team plans at Old Trafford despite his insistence that he wanted to keep Ronaldo, leading to the forward becoming disillusioned with his role at the club.

He has now, however, put that behind him as he prepares to impress after committing to a world-record contract in the Middle East, with his teammates already seeming impressed with his physical form.

This week, the ex-Real Madrid No. 7 was pictured leaping high off the ground as he challenged for a header from a cross, a move reminiscent of his famous headed goal against Sampdoria in 2019 while playing for Juventus.

Rudi Garcia, meanwhile, is eager to see Ronaldo in action for Al Nassr, recently saying the Portugal captain has already grown the profile of the club significantly.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is more than a player. He is one of the best players in the world. It's amazing how much it's put a spotlight on our club," he said, according to the Daily Mirror.

"Now, everyone knows where our club is around the world. We must have gone from 800 000 (followers) to 10 million in a few hours, a few days, because of Cristiano's arrival."

The French tactician also stated the legendary striker has settled in comfortably with his colleagues in the Middle East.

"The greatest champions are the easiest to manage. He (Ronaldo) blended in with the squad. We saw him joking and laughing with pleasure with his new teammates," he added.
