Details Of PSG's Contract Offer To Messi Revealed?

In light of the intensifying rumours that Barcelona want to re-sign Lionel Messi, French giants Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly offered the Argentine a new deal, with the details of their proposal appearing to have been revealed.

PSG President Takes Aim At Barca Amid Messi Rumours

The 35-year-old, as it stands, will become a free agent at the end of this season should he not strike an agreement with PSG to trigger the one-year option in his current contract.

As per reports across Europe, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner has decided he will only entertain talks over his future after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, although that has not prevented the French giants from coming in with an offer.

According to Spanish football journalist Manu Carreno, the Ligue 1 leaders have presented Messi with a 12-month extension, plus an option for a second year.

It is claimed the Argentina captain would earn €30 million (R529 million) a year on the terms of the new deal if he does accept it, but an answer is likely to only come at a later stage considering his current priorities.

Following a difficult debut season in Paris, Messi appears to have grown into a playmaking role since Christophe Galtier was appointed to replace Mauricio Pochettino, having assisted eight goals in 11 matches so far in this campaign.

Furthermore, the ex-Barcelona captain is finding the back of the net more regularly too, having scored six times in all competitions.

Pitch Invader Receives Punishment For Jumping On Messi

It is reported that PSG are determined to keep Messi amid rumours that Blaugrana boss Xavi Hernandez would welcome him back in Spain, with president Joan Laporta also said to be willing to make a deal happen for the LaLiga club's former No. 10.
