"As much as they are cutting the squad, they are also working on cutting on too much spending while they have potential youngsters in the DDC and that's why they are looking at Onele (Rulwana). He has been doing very well in the DDC and him together with Gomolemo Kekana are the next big things for not only Sundowns but South African football. Sundowns don't want to lose Onele and that's why he is set for promotion to the first team," the Siya source stated.
A second insider stated that the 20-year-old has a bright future and has continued improving since being recruited from the School of Excellence.
"He wears jersey number 7 and you know what that means. He is a great attacking midfielder. With him I don't think they would he looking for any Themba Zwane replacement. He will save the team the money and time looking for a midfielder outside Sundowns. That's how good he is. And I think that's why both technical teams are happy with his proposed promotion," the second insider observed.
