He is one of the players who was not recommended by coach Nasreddine Nabi," the source told the Siya crew.

A second insider stated that Sam's injury, which he suffered from his time in Turkey, has further complicated his stay at Naturena.
"The injury came at the wrong time, and after that injury, the club signed Bradley Cross and now Thatayaone Ditlhokwe is also playing, and that is minimizing Bongani Sam's chances of playing, and apparently, that is why the club can't keep him until the end of his contract in 2027. The 27-year-old former Bloemfontein Celtic defender has yet to make an official debut for the Glamour Boys even after recovering from his injury. Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment on the issue, but there was no response at the time of this report.
