Let's take a closer look at what they had to say...
Comments
Former Orlando Pirates winger Innocent Chikoya believes the Soweto giants are ready to challenge DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns pound-for-pound next season.
The Buccaneers secured a cup double and finished second in the league behind Downs last season, with Chikoya insisting that if Pirates continue from where they left off in the last campaign, there's no reason why they can't challenge Rulani Mokwena's men for league honours.
Chikoya also hailed Pirates' four signings so far this transfer window, saying it shows that they're serious going into next season where they'll play in the CAF Champions League.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Chikoya: Pirates Can Challenge Downs" story:
"Sundowns is too big for our league," says Saavedra.
"Bucs will never be close to Masandawana. They are not on the same page and they will never be because Sundowns doesn't play football for financial gains as is the case for the rest of the teams.
"Sundowns already have the financial muscles and are looking to playing good football and then a win will come if the referees and other factors that are not part of playing football are not hatched," says winterv.me.
"'Only team I see coming close to Sundowns,' So Chikoya doesn't give a damn about Mooolife Ntseki's kids," says His Majesty Yellow PSL Beast.
"Alright. But we're winning our 7th in a row and no one can stop us. KABOYEEEEEEEEEEELLLLO!!" says Inbox Vat Alles.
"Sundowns set a standard in football circles that is totally different to any team in the world. They not only playing to win their matches but to win with fantastic play. Hence, most of the teams prefer only winning without considering their playing style, which isn't the case at Masandawana.
"Therefore, it's out of proportion to compare Masandawana with any team. For them is not only about winning which shouldn't be the case if it was that only... so, it depends on Bucs and their priorities and ambitions.
"Sundowns will not sacrifice their playing in the name of winning matches at all costs," says winterv.me.
"Just ask Dr. Khoza for a garden job and stop analysing daydreams," says Eduardo Dos Santos.
"It's not about Sundowns, so that if Pirates lose against them, fans start to panic. We can still drop points against them and still win the league," says Onside.
"Sundowns is always a cut above all other teams. As usual they will bulldoze over everyone," says makhause(2).

Billiat was last seen at the Kaizer Chiefs Village on 29 June and the team is currently on a pre-season camp, with the Zimbabwean star being a no-show.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Chiefs Provide Big Update On Billiat" story:
"At his best, he is unplayable, pity he had so many injuries. Still by far the best player at Chiefs," says Downs rule.
"He is still chawing the bonus from the business family, they want him even though he spent 3 seasons in a hospital bad, yerrrrr," says Phumzamthembu3.
"I think whoever sent the statement is not well upstairs. How is Billiat is expected to be in the camp with the rest of the players yet his contract expired at the end of June? Some people are confused," says thulasmda.
"My thoughts exactly member. He is not a Chiefs player at the moment. Let him enjoy the moment of peace," says UpDeDowns.
"He is tired of fake medicals at Naturena," says makhause(2).
"Billiat still have a lot to offer at the club. I still believe he has a lot to offer," says makhubele787.
"He milked them now he is OK financially, he was paid for 8 months without playing, or maybe he is fed up with playing with cows," says Dominate-downs.
"If Billiat respects us, I say, hamba Billiat... ungagcini ngokungaphenduli izingcingo kuphela, kodwa ushintshe ne number. Ungaphinde ubuye, (Leave Billiat, don't stop by not answering your phone only, go on and change your number. Don't ever come back)," says ghetoovillage411.
"Good thing Chiefs just signed Tebogo Potsane who's much better," says PS_Goitse.
"He has made up his mind," says mymkhize.
"All the best in your future man, you didn't live up to expectations at The Village," says khosilannet0.
