Let's take a closer look...

Following Sundowns' progression to the CAF Champions League semi-finals after a 2-1 (6-2 aggregate) win over CR Belouizdad, Rulani Mokwena gave praise to the scintillating and influential Themba Zwane.

Mshishi, who got on the scoresheet in that second-leg encounter at Loftus over the weekend, was dubbed as "one of the greatest players we'll ever see in South Africa" by his coach Rulani Mokwena.

Mokwena says a player like Zwane makes him a better coach and makes the team play better, and credited the influence he has over other local ballers.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Rulani Compares 'Mshishi' To Man City Star" story:

"Rulani you are too excited that's all," says ns1owam, with another reader Shikabala responding:

"Why not? He has just won the league and is now in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions league."

"Rulani likes everything that has a Man City tag, even himself he think he's Pep of South Africa. Mshishi is the best player we currently have and he's supposed to be a candidate for footballer of the season, not this thing of Saleng and Mailula.

"But to compare him to Doctor Khumalo? We are putting him under unnecessary pressure," says Mami@georgedale.

"Let's start that debate again, in numbers this time: Mshishi is better than 16V, numbers back that up, but emotions says otherwise," says INBOX VAT ALLES.

"Doctor Khumalo started his career at a young age. He excelled at club level and with the National Team. He had stints with clubs abroad before turning 30 years-old.

"The player in question has only emerged at age 29 and is playing only for a local team - no overseas experience. We therefore cannot compare apples and pears so to speak. I have nothing against Zwane its just that he cannot be put with the likes of Doctor.

"It is also not right to compare him with that player from Man City," says Soccer Fanatic.

"Doctor was even a captain in America... Zwane is a good player but not in Doctor's league," says tm194441.

Read: Stellies Do Bucs A Favour By Holding SuperSport

After Stellenbosch FC held SuperSport United to a goalless draw on Tuesday evening, it slightly eases the pressure for Orlando Pirates who are aiming to secure second place and CAF Champions League qualification.

Matsatsantsa, who remain in third, reduced their deficit behind Pirates to a single point and the Buccaneers have the opportunity to extend that when taking on Royal AM today.

Here's how Pirates fans reacted to the "Stellies Do Bucs A Favour By Holding SuperSport" story:

"Hey wena, which favour are you talking about? Cause Pirates won 6 games in-a-row," says Patti.

"They actually did Supersport a favour because they don't have what it takes to challenge in Africa, just to add, we don't need any team's assistance to qualify for CAF," says mmolokimokoena.

"Pirates will occupy second spot. Finish and klaar," says abelmotaung50.

"Bucs did themselves a favour by winning the last five league games," says @Normz.
