The Buccaneers edged out SuperSport United in a close 1-0 win and boosted their chances of qualifying for the CAF Champions League.
Thapelo Xoki's 79th minute penalty was enough to see the Buccaneers through, leaving them in third place, equal on points with Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs and two points behind Matsatsantsa who are currently second.

"No2 Loading... #upthebucs," says lifijoluks.
"Best: Timm, Lungu, Monare, Xoki, Margeman and Maseko. Flopped: Erasmus, Lorch, Makaringe, Globler, Ndlovu and Lepasa," says maxncane.
"Pirates needs to bring back that striker coach because they are struggling again to be clinical in their finishing. A team of pirates level doesn't need more than 5 shorts in order to score a single goal," says ntisanaxm.
"Well done boys for keeping the Caf Champions League hopes alive," says benjmwaru3796.
"We just had to grind through, that's what you need at times, more especially against SuperSport," says Mk we bucs.

Not having a player selected for Bafana is something Amakhosi aren't used to, and it sees a several Chiefs players going from national team regulars to spectators.
Players such as Njabulo Ngcobo, Austin Dube, Yusuf Maart, Sifiso Hlanti and Keagan Dolly all have national team experience and made good progress in the past, only to be left out of Broos' plans in recent international windows.

"They are not performing well, so why should they be selected for the nation team?" says peter95157.
"Probably young Shabalala is the only player I expected to make the prelim selection only," says @Normz.
