Let's take a closer look at what they had to say...

Comments

SuperSport United striker Bradley Grobler has admitted that 12 goals for the top scorer in the DStv Premiership is not good enough but is encouraged that more players are challenging him and Peter Shalulile.

Grobler managed 10 league goals this season, falling behind Shalulile and Cape Town City's Khanyisa Mayo who shared the Golden Boot with 12 goals each.

With players like EtioHsa Ighodaro, Monnapule Saleng, Ranga Chivaviro and Cassius Mailula all getting double figures in the league - Grobler feels that there's a bigger crop of players challenging for the golden boot and hopes they can all challenge each other in the coming seasons.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Grobler: 12 Goals Not Enough, But..." story:

"12 goals is not good enough but you only scored 10 in 28 games. Shalulile scored 12 in 21 games," says lebele26.

"10 goals out of 28 matches played! Yeah, it is tough in this PSL. Am not sure if the league is very defensive or strikers are below required quality. [Dino] Ndlovu struggled to score for SSU and went to shine in China and elsewhere overseas. Can we read anything from Ndlovu's case?" asks khothakhosi.

"Cow's league I'm not surprised," says Yah neh.

"Should also mention how many clear-cut chances you missed Bradley, probably had the most shots on target than any other striker this season," says Slow_Poison.

Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has revealed that he turned down offers in South America, Asia, and his native Europe, in order to take on the Pirates project.

Riveiro has had a successful maiden season in Mzansi, bagging a cup double with the Nedbank Cup secured on Saturday.

Riveiro shared that he waited for a proper opportunity to come along after leaving Finland and also referred to the Sea Robbers as a "really big club".

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Riveiro: Why I Rejected Europe To Join Pirates" story:

"I like the way this coach has turned Pirates into. His style of play became more like that of Victor Bondarenko when he won the Super Cup, and when he left the team, they continued with the pace to lift the Champions League.

"I just hope these Pirates officials don't kick this coach out next season. Well done coach for bringing a smile back to our faces. Happppy Peopleeee, yeah, yea, yeeeea, yeeea. #UP THE BUCS," says elijahfyingwane11.

"Thanks coach, next season, let's continue where we left off. Go and enjoy your holidays, Up the Bucs," says @ThizaK.

"Coach, you have come to the right team where we demand positive results only, I think you saw with a few negative games how we tend to react.

"The other thing I like about you coach is confronting us at stadiums, us supporters to be supportive to the team," says Bucs365.

"In Europe he is known as a ball boy, not coach," says MD007.

"Maybe Chiefs must also sign a ball boy and end their [trophy] drought," says Vha Musanda Cosmos na Bucs.
