When asked whether beating Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals made up for them doing the league double of the Sea Robbers, the Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro revealed that it was tough losing those games.

Riveiro mentioned that he would've really liked those six points in the pocket and says they'll see at the end of the season if they really needed them or not.

The Spaniard did praise his team's progression though, as they sit in second place, in pole position to clinch a CAF Champions League qualifying spot.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Chiefs Double Over Pirates Still Haunts Riveiro" story:

"Don't worry, they [Chiefs] are coming again for a hiding," says DSELLO.

"I just love the way he conducts the press conferences, such a professional football coach, modest and highly intelligent at the same time. #WeAreOrlandoPirates," says Mnie.

"At least you talk better than the former player," says Vha Musanda Cosmos na Bucs.

Sticking with the Buccaneers, Riveiro stated that his side needs to get used to a congested schedule next season as they brace themselves for continental ball next season.

Second-placed Pirates are in a good position to qualify for the CAF Champions League or the CAF Confederations Cup, as a they're guaranteed to finish either 2nd or 3rd in the league this season.

Pirates had less than two days of rest ahead of last Saturday's Nedbank Cup semi-final, compared to Chiefs, with the game also going to extra-time.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Pirates Coach Ready For 'Long Trips' In Africa" story:

"You have our full support coach JR, #Up the Bucs," says @ThizaK.

"I just wish to see the team become the best as it is known for. To take the team as far as Sundowns has gone. You need to stop a Dlamini FC club that is representing Pirates voluntarily. Pirates can do much better, only if the best players are used competitively, and regularly.

"We have a good example of a good team in Sundowns, these guys are unpredictable, full of confidence, and have a winning mentality. The fact is, they play their best team, and the results are simply grinded due to the unity, and purpose these guys always have. #UP THE BUCS," says elijahfyingwane11.

"I like it for the bhakaniya," says user454193.
